The plan that starts the work.

Most planners are good at holding your list and useless at the moment you actually have to begin. PlanThen closes that gap: a task on your day becomes a protected focus session in one tap — and when the session ends, what really happened goes back into the plan.

CaptureJust a title. Two seconds.
SchedulePut it on today.
See nextOne obvious action.
FocusProtected, task-linked.
RecordReal minutes, not guesses.
ReplanMove what's left.

Built around the moment work begins

Every feature exists to protect one sequence. Nothing else was invited.

Capture

Title-only, then move on

Type the task and it's in. PlanThen guesses a sensible length from the title, and never suggests a start time that's already in the past. You can override everything.

Today

The next block, not the whole backlog

Your day reads chronologically with the next block front and centre. Meetings from your calendar sit alongside it, read-only, so you can see the shape of the day.

Focus

Sessions attached to a real task

Start a countdown or an open-ended session straight from the task. Distraction protection covers only the apps you chose. Ending a session early is always one tap away.

Truth

Numbers you can trust

Time comes from timestamps, not a ticking counter. Close the app, lock the phone, restart it — the session survives. If your phone slept for hours, PlanThen asks instead of quietly banking the time.

Recovery

Missed work, no scolding

A block you didn't start isn't a failure. It's a card with three calm options: start now, move it, or let it go. No streaks, no red badges, no guilt mechanics.

Replan

Finish half, keep the half

Stopped 12 minutes into a 25-minute block? The receipt offers to put the remaining time back into today. That's the loop closing.

Your day stays on your phone

PlanThen is local-first. Your tasks, sessions and history live in a database on your iPhone. There's no account to create, no server holding your plan, and the app works with no connection at all.

Calendar access is read-only — events are displayed, never edited or uploaded. Anonymous usage statistics are off unless you turn them on, and this build sends nothing either way. Details in the privacy policy.

Who it's for

Freelancers and independent professionals juggling several clients and their own projects — people whose problem isn't remembering the work, it's starting it in a day that keeps getting interrupted.

  • You know what to do; the hard part is beginning.
  • You want to know where your hours actually went.
  • You've quit apps that made you feel behind.

Not out yet

PlanThen is in late development and heading for TestFlight. If you'd like an invite when the beta opens, email hello@planthen.app — no list, no marketing, just a note when it's ready.
